Clicker Training..is it just for puppies?

Ahh…finally made it to join That One Mom with Post-It Note Tuesday!!  I missed last week…or the last 2 weeks, I’m not sure, but she’s the new proud owner of PINT, and she should be congratulated!!

Congrats to That One Mom from the Only Parent Chronicles!!

Ok…some of you know I recently got a new puppy.  Her name is Cali, a lovely Golden Retriever.  She’s gorgeous!  She’s sweet!  She has her own Twitter account and everything!!  You can find her at @ezmommsCali if you would like to see what she’s up to.

  And…

…..she’s also a little psychotic around 7pm each evening!!

GOOD FOR YOU for standing up to that trainer and not just going along with "the expert"!!!!!!!!!!!!

Seriously, this makes me SO happy! I am a positive trainer, and I so often work with people whose dogs developed or worsened aggressive tendencies due to "choke-hold" methods of training. You can solve virtually any problem with well-timed clicks! And if you make a mistake, you're not scarring the dog!

Congrats, and good luck!

PS On my other blog http://www.CompanionsWA.wordpress.com I have video of a goldfish being clicker trained :-D

LMFAO! Choke Hold for Husbands! I'm on board!!!!
I've never heard of that method or the Clicker one for animals. Maybe I can get mine to be trained and HAVE manners! LOL! Hubby too!

Let me know if your husband ever responds to the clicker training. I might have to try it.
